The Equal Life Foundation is a Scam

Reptilian overlords

The Equal Life Foundation (ELF) states that it stands for equality, human rights and 'self-responsibility'. Yet the organisation has only ever run online marketing schemes: a 'life coaching' income plan for recruiters, the Desteni I Process (or Structural Resonance Alignment), the Eqafe.com store, which sells 'interviews' with imaginary dead people and reptilian overlords via an affiliate marketing scheme, the Self & Living store for 'practical lifestyle' videos – as well as working holidays at the Desteni farm in South Africa and associated businesses such as Techno Tutor.

Its deceased founder, Bernard Poolman said, Desteni provides Life Coaching as a Way to Personal Wealth. Less of a get-rich-quick scheme and more a change-the-world scam, customers are led to believe that Desteni / ELF has political clout when all it has is sales schemes for sub-New Age superstitions.

According to a 'Destonian', Anna Brix Thomsen, all that happens at the Equal Life Foundation's headquarters (a farm in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa) is looking after horses, doing chores, writing blogs, and watching Sunette Spies pretending to be an 'interdimensional portal'.

It is not as though Desteni / ELF is helping to protect the human rights of its poverty-stricken neighbours in South Africa -- or anywhere else. It is not practically involved in any political reform, civil action or equal rights advocacy. Desteni / ELF only ever promotes its own capitalist business interests on the internet, sometimes using political topics, but mostly, the customers publish testimonial adverts as 'Journey to Life' blogs in which they often state that Desteni / ELF courses have helped them take 'self-responsibility'.

These courses have no quantifiable benefit. Anyone can take self-responsibility by themselves, naturally, or deal with self-esteem issues or give up addictions without depending on taking part in courses with Desteni / ELF or any other group. Although, it would not necessarily make a person part of a world-changing social movement for equality – not like the Equal Life Foundation's Living Income Guaranteed (LIG) is supposed to be.

In September 2014, the Destonian-run business, Techno Tutor was given airtime on the YouTube channel of Donald Trump Jr., who in his spare time enjoys slaughtering exotic animals in South Africa. Versions of Techno Tutor Vocabulary Development Technology have been sold by Desteni / ELF since at least 2008 (often to people who've already been scammed by well-known fraudster and convicted criminal, Kevin Trudeau), but as someone on Godlike Productions remarked, the LIG 'proposal' is like something a 12 year-old would write.

Whenever the Equal Life Foundation discusses the LIG, human rights or equality, it is always with the suggestion that Desteni / ELF and/or the LIG have the 'best for all' 'solution' to every single problem in the whole wide world and that you should 'investigate'; which just means signing up for products and courses. It was the same with the group's previous Equal Money System... Supporting 'equal money' or the LIG equals trying to help sell Desteni / ELF products and courses.

A Destonian wrote: 'I think the main reason why Living Income Guaranteed is not gaining in popularity is because people are conditioned to become obsessed with what they want, their self interest, and compete for it. The fact that people don’t search for an answer to the temperamental economic system is evidence that people have come to accept a system of inequality. In consideration of what is here though, the main reason for Living Income Guaranteed’s obscurity is because there is no money to make it known to the public.'

The ELF does not make the LIG a topic of discussion at any social justice or political forums, or anywhere else except Destonian sites. That's why it's obscure.

Desteni fanatic, Marlen Vargas Del Razo interviews some non-Destonians at the LIG YouTube channel and provides a platform for their ideas, but she does not discuss Desteni / ELF or the details of the LIG with them. If she did, then Del Razo would be obliged to explain how recruiting for online sales schemes for idiotic channelings of interdimensional reptilians and dead people from the afterlife can possibly be of any relevance to ensuring a living income for all.

The LIG is just a thinly-veiled advertisement for Desteni / ELF products and courses. It conveys some political commentary but political commentary on the web does not equal a political movement or proposal. The LIG uses political and human rights topics as a way of making the group seem important, but like so many other cults, Desteni / ELF is mainly concerned with absurd spiritualistic beliefs about other dimensions, 'the self', 'stopping the mind', and sales schemes.

The Desteni / ELF version of 'human rights' was written by a former prominent member of the sovereign citizen movement, which is founded on false conspiracy theories, racism and anti-Semitism, and is run by right wing libertarian scammers who charge money for fake financial schemes and legal advice which get people thrown in jail.

The Desteni / ELF 'interdimensional portal' AKA Sunette Spies' recent 'Self & Living' store videos are branded with the ELF name, but nothing Spies discusses is about human rights or equality. It is 'self-help' advice with corny titles like 'Less Stress More Success!', 'Building Your Relationship with Yourself' and 'Enrich Yourself, Don't Break Yourself'. As for the content, you'd get more useful 'practical lifestyle' tips reading one random article at Lifehacker.com. Oddly enough, although her background is solely as protege of Bernard Poolman, at her 'Self & Living store' no information is given about Spies, and neither Poolman or Desteni are mentioned.

The Interview Requests for the 'portal' at the Desteni forum suggest that customers are keen to hear more animal impersonations and communications from beyond the grave, but that's not going to bring about equality or protect anyone's human rights either.

One former Desteni / ELF customer recently published a video in which he states he's leaving the group because he cannot 'verify the material'. In another video called My view on Desteni he suggests that although Desteni presents itself as having all the answers to everything it is not possible to get all the answers from one source, not even oneself. He states that the group may be attractive to some gullible people looking for 'the truth' but the Desteni material is not unique or original in any way.

A Destonian remarks that the 'paranormal community' has shown very little interest in the Desteni Demonology website and yet another that the 'I Process' is not fitting into his schedule and should allow for more 'individuality' or different approaches to 'walking this process'.

If Desteni / ELF is going down the drain then it is because its claims that it stands for equality, human rights and self-responsibility are false. This statement issued by Desteni / ELF: 'The Equal Life Foundation's focus is in the arena of Basic Human Rights with an emphasis on how these Rights must be practically applied' is misleading, if not an outright lie.

Desteni / ELF uses a limited discussion of 'human rights' which make it seem like it could be a humanitarian cause when it is an online commercial business venture. There is no evidence that the group has any influence or involvement in any genuine human rights or political activities whatsoever. The ELF's focus is on the manufacture, promotion and sale of Desteni / ELF products, courses and sales schemes which are an incoherent mish-mash of rudimentary self-help techniques and redundant delusions of New Age occultism and related material.

For how much longer can Desteni / ELF keep up the pretense? It is a very obvious scam, yet intriguing if only for the reason that some people let themselves be fooled by it.

Cultish Behaviour Patterns - Desteni Doomed - 3

Ivan Rauscher

(continued from Desteni Doomed - 1: The Voice of a Sane Organization? / 2: Cult Awareness)

In a recent video called the Desteni Cult? Johnathan Motz said that he and other Destonians type 'shit' about thoughts, emotions, feelings etc and 'what the fuck happened during our day'; they forgive and correct themselves for all the 'shit' they have 'allowed' so as not to keep repeating patterns, and then they 'walk' it to change patterns.

He asks: is it cultish to actually think that writing, applying self-forgiveness, applying self-corrective statements and walking it -- is that cultish behaviour?

It may be that after watching thousands of videos of Sunette Spies and passing the Desteni portal idiot test individuals such as Motz joined the cult of self-forgiveness because they imagined that the Desteni material was startlingly new, original or even the ultimate truth.

Destonians fail to understand that although Desteni claims to be opposed to spirituality, the Desteni material has in fact only ever been a rip-off of New Age occultism and spirituality. It has been fabricated out of a poorly constructed re-hash of ideas already found in works by New Agers, mystics and occultists such as Louise Hay, Alice A. Bailey, Paul Twitchell, David Icke, Aleister Crowley, George I. Gurdjieff, Osho Rajneesh, Anton LaVey, Baird T. Spalding and others.

Destonians are under the false impression that because Desteni claims to stand for equality then they must be doing something useful in terms of helping to bring about equality. But Desteni or Destonians are not practically engaged in any issues of equality, equal rights, social justice or politics whatsoever. 'Equality' in Desteni is just a front; a slogan and a gimmick. Desteni has nothing to do with equality.

Johnathan Motz has not addressed even one of the various different points raised by critics of Desteni over the years. But this is to be expected. Desteni supporters have never carried out any proper research and applied themselves to the question of Desteni as cult.

Bernard Poolman implies in his Twitter and YouTube account descriptions that Desteni is perhaps 'social engineering'. Certainly, strategies of social engineering are used all the time by scammers and cults to deceive the public. Manipulating people into performing actions or divulging confidential information is how self-forgiveness in Desteni works (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Social_engineering_(security)).

In his video, Anti Desteni Movement, Poolman stated that the anti-Desteni movement, which exposes Desteni as a cult and a scam, 'forms an integral part of the Desteni process'. Obviously, the anti-Desteni movement is by definition against Desteni, but as Poolman admits, it can be considered a 'process' involving Desteni because it can deter people from joining the group.

Johnathan Motz's video is like every other video or blog in which 'Destonians' have tried to deny that Desteni is a cult, such as in their 'anti-hate' videos last year. They did so by dutifully repeating cult buzzwords, catch phrases and slogans, thereby they re-affirmed the fact that they had been socially engineered to repeat cultish behaviour patterns.

Only 'Destonians' speak or write using such half-arsed, stilted jargon as 'applying the tools' of 'self-forgiveness' and 'self-correction' and 'walking it' to 'birth life equal and one in the physical'. Motz has repeated all this and the doublethink refrain every other Desteni supporter has already repeated about anyone who says Desteni is a cult: they 'have not done the research' and 'haven't applied the tools'.

Apparently, according to Destonians, Desteni is not a cult because the people who say it is are not Destonians.

This is why Poolman says he's grateful to the anti-Desteni movement: it presents the evidence that Desteni is a cult while he can rely on the commitment of people like Motz because they are willing to disregard the evidence, dispense with logic, suspend their critical faculties and pay to work for Poolman's 'Desteni' cult.

However, Poolman's perspective is self-defeated. His social engineering con tricks are so formulaic and clichéd it is obvious he has deliberately set out to create a cult. It may be psychologically damaging for those involved but is rather more a futile exercise in social engineering. All it proves is something already widely known: some people can be made to follow cultish behaviour patterns or with the right information they can avoid it.

Since their main channels were terminated by YouTube, the output of Desteni and their supporters has become increasingly repetitive; Motz's video being only one example. Their current output is lacking in content that could possibly be of real interest to anyone but the 100-150 or so persons already listed at Desteni websites as 'The Destonians'. And if you do a bit of research and investigation you will see that quite a few of their number these days appear to be lapsed or ex-members with no currently active blogs or YouTube channels. Maybe they're just bored with being involved in a group which only exists to prove it can socially engineer people to repeat cultish behaviour patterns.

The Voice of a Sane Organization? - Desteni Doomed - 1

Ivan Rauscher

In a recent recording published on YouTube entitled Spoon Bending Secrets in the Matrix, spokesman for 'Desteni', a 'Group of People Exploring Equality & Oneness Principles', Bernard Poolman claims all forms of group activity and mass movements run on ectoplasm. He describes ectoplasm as 'a phenomena' that was 'prevalent in the 1950s – big-time'.

Ectoplasm was not prevalent in the 1950s. The apparent phenomenon began dying out in the 1930s. This is because ectoplasm and so-called 'materialisations', which had never been prevalent but took place in Spiritualist séances of the 19th to early 20th Centuries, were proven by scientific and psychical researchers to be fraudulent, as was Uri Geller's spoon-bending.

If, as Poolman suggests, ectoplasm is in every human body and the driving force behind all groups and mass movements we would still be none the wiser. Although he claims no-one understands it, he fails to define what it is and offers no evidence it exists.

Ectoplasm was a spectral trail of goo that appeared to issue from the orifices of Spiritualist deep trance mediums. It was said to be the 'life force' connecting them to 'spirit realms' and was faked by use of muslin, paper, egg white and trick photography.

Ectoplasm and spoon-bending are charlatanry, as is 'deep trance mediumship', which is synonymous with 'channeling'. That is, pretending to be a conduit for otherworldly entities, as practised throughout New Age religion and having its roots in 19th Century Theosophy, Spiritualism and prior religions or forms of spirituality.

The term, 'channeling' became popular in the 1970s along with the advent of Jane Roberts' 'Seth Speaks' act in which she went on about 'multidimensional reality'.

Sunette Spies is supposed to communicate 'interdimensionally' and be able to 'interview' the so-called 'mind consciousness systems' of entities or things. 'Mind consciousness systems' is an invented phrase of Poolman's Desteni. It practically means the same as 'spirits', just as 'dimensions' would be an alternative name for 'spirit realms'.

After Spies' videos appeared on the web in 2007 many commentators described them as a prank, evidence of multiple personality disorder, possession by demonic forces, some form of mind control or schizophrenia.

The Desteni material states that Spies trained with Poolman for at least two years prior to releasing her videos, originally described as 'channelings' on the Desteni-Universe website in 2007. This was later changed to 'portal messages'.

Desteni tried to define Spies as different to a channeler. Their reasons were nonsensical or futile, such as that she never got as tired as easily as a channeler would, spoke for a wider range of entities than any channeler, or had no prior background or training.

Someone calling herself a 'Destonian' recently made a remark typical of inhabitants of the universe of 'desteni':

it also doesn't really matter 'who' comes through the Portal -- if you watch the videos on YouTube you will notice that every being in every video conveys the same message, the same principle -- and so you're really just dealing with 'one voice' coming through the portal.

As Poolman said: Understand that the message from Desteni is not really the message from the portal. The portal is a demonstration of what is possible in the physical. The message is actually from me.

Bernard Poolman has as yet only ever published audio recordings and a few still photos of himself, but there are thousands of videos of Sunette Spies acting as a 'portal' to his 'mind consciousness system'.

Apparently to offset the chance that he might be perceived as some kind of crank, he states that Desteni is 'one of the most sane organizations the world has ever seen'. If this is the case and Poolman's idea about ectoplasm is in fact true and only he really understands it then why is Desteni not a mass movement?

Equal Money System Final Solution: Eugenics

It may come as a surprise to some, but according to Desteni and the Destonians, the implementation of their Equal Money System 'final solution' would entail a revival of the pseudo-science of eugenics.

One Destonian recommends it in a recent blog post entitled 2012: Eugenics is Evil or Best for All?

Another writes about it in more detail in Eugenics is Best for All Life in Equality to which there is a point-by-point response at Destenigossip. Here's an extract from Marlen and eugenics - a disgusted review beginning with a quote from Destonian, Marlen Vargas Del Razo:

„Being blind, deaf, mentally ill, down syndrome and having any other congenital severe disorder that tampers the ability to live here are aspects that we would not want to live in/as placing ourselves in the shoes of someone that experiences such conditions for life.“

I call utter bullshit on that one. Someone‘s life is unbearable just because they‘re deaf or blind? Does she know anyone with such defects? Have they all told her how they wish they had never been born?
She should pray that no one of the blind and deaf community ever gets to hear about this. She just declared a large part of the worlds population, most of which are more useful members of society than she is, as practically ‚not worth living‘. This audacity is nothing but revolting. And that from a person who has neither been blind or deaf for a day in her life. One must assume though that if an accident should render her so, she‘d jump off a bridge the very instant. We shall remind her of it should that ever be the case.
Aside from that: People with downs are often the most happy, life-enjoying, self-expressing creatures. The only issue is with other people: They have to be taken care of, are an inconvenience. They are a burden, require time, energy, money, a special effort, just like other disabled people do. The problem is not with them, the problem is with those members of society who‘d rather pursue their own self-interest instead of taking care of another. Marlen has clearly positioned herself in this regard.

„Therefore if we see the common sense of preventing its propagation and actual correction then why not supporting eugenics? It’s a definitive crime to allow beings to come into this world with such caps to actually live.“

People with caps? Are you the fashion police now?
But we all know what she actually meant, despite her admittedly rather weird slang.
Again, denying disabled people the right to live. How about lazy bastards who could very well work and take care of themselves but instead waste their time blogging about their insignificant problems and leech off of others in an online money scheme? What is the difference between a paralysed or mentally disabled person and one who chooses not to lift a finger and train themselves to be so stupid they can be called nothing else but ‚retarded‘? One is lead to think that the second is infinitely worse, considering that they used their own free will to intentionally become a burden to society.

„The fact that eugenics is usually satanized through linking it with other ‘evil avatars’ such as Hitler is an example of how indoctrinated we are to not see the common sense that eugenics proposes.“

Hitler did exactly what ‚eugenics‘ suggested. It means ‚weeding out‘, ‚removing what you deem less‘, killing off what is in your opinion less than you. The Nazi regime went all the way and implemented concentration camps, they also force-sterilised people. When confronted with the inevitable ‚final solution‘, people realised that eugenics actually meant mass murder. There is no other way to put it. You can cut this bs about ‚evil avatars‘ like it is all some big misunderstanding. If genocide through euthanasia is what you mean with ‚common sense‘, just have the balls to say it. Don‘t be sure though that Bernard spares Latinos once it comes to it.

Read more at Destenigossip: Marlen and eugenics - a disgusted review

Despite all their 'equality' slogans, Marlen Vargas Del Razo, the author of Eugenics is Best for All Life in Equality and other Destonians, have no real concept of the principle of equality.

Del Razo suggests that 'equality' means that not only should disabled people be denied a right to live but also that in her view 'certain races' have brought about 'the current inequality we have' and should be prevented from procreating. That is, 'certain races' ought to be sterilised on the grounds that they are deemed by Destonians to be 'unequal'.

Equal Money Journey to LIES

The Desteni Equal Money System Website was re-launched on April 14th this year. One of its main functions is to register 'votes' for Desteni Equal Money 'policies'. At the time of writing, end of July, the most votes for a given policy is only 435.

There are around 100-150 people actively involved in promoting the Desteni Equal Money System. One might expect that 100-150 people, all of whom are constantly blogging and v-logging, could in three months gain the interest of a lot more than 400 or so others?

But, no. The Desteni Equal Money System is a sham and the Destonians know it better than anyone else. That's why these days they are far more interested in detracting from it with their 'Journey to Life', where they confabulate blogs made up of endless paragraphs beginning with 'I forgive myself for allowing and accepting...' etc., liberally peppered with links to Desteni products for sale at eqafe.com.

Their 'Journey to Life' is of course dictated by their guru, Bernard (Creation) Poolman, the main man in Desteni, whose Creation's Journey to Life blog contains such gems of gobbledegook as:

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to not realize that Liefe on Earth is One BIG LIE Built through Smaller Lies that are accepted and allowed so that the Big Lie seems too Big to Ever challenge, instead of Looking at the Small Lies and see How these Small Lies Built the Character of the Big Lie as Human Nature that is too Weak and Sinful to Ever Change.

In another post he writes:

I commit myself to SHOW that it is Possible to understand in Actual detail Exactly How All of Creation Functions and thus to Be the One that Determines How Life on Earth will be Lived.

The Destonians' blogs are also inspired by blogs of Poolman's two main cohorts, Sunette (Heaven) Spies and Esteni (Earth) De Wet.

As for the claim made on the Equal Money website that

The Equal Money System (EMS)' ...'project is managed and directed under the auspices of the Equal Life Foundation, a Non-Profit Organization, constituted under South African Law, duly audited as per legal requirements

this post at the Cult Education Forum suggests that the Desteni Equal Life Foundation may quite possibly be operating illegally:

At http://equalmoney.org it states that Equal Life Foundation is a "Non-Profit Organization".
A Non-Profit Company and a Non-Profit Organization are two different things. Equal Life Foundation is not a "Non-Profit Organization". It is in fact registered as a Non-Profit Company. This is confirmed by a search at http://www.cipc.co.za
At http://www.cipc.co.za/Companies.aspx a Non-profit Company (NPC) is defined as:
Quote:
A company incorporated for public benefit or other object relating to one or more cultural or social activities, or communal or group interests; and
The income and property of which are not distributable to its incorporators, members, directors, officers or persons related to any of them.
Read more: http://forum.culteducation.com/read.php?12,62042,112520#msg-112520

Income of the Equal Life Foundation is distributed to its incorporators, members, directors or officers because Eqafe products are sold via an Affiliate Program where profits from sales are distributed amongst representatives of the Equal Life Foundation; that is the Destonians.

At the equallife.org 'About' page, 'The main object for which the' Equal Life Foundation 'Company is formed' is described as in order:
to undertake research and education in the areas of:
Leadership Skills Development
Psychology
Food Production and Management
Environmental Studies
Educational Curriculum Software Development
Equal Economic Remodelling
Global Warming Solutions
Group Behaviour
And other areas related to the promotion and establishment of equal rights on a global scale.

All of which refers to Desteni profit-making projects such as the Desteni I Process, which is a Multi-Level Marketing Scheme (so-called Leadership Skills Development and Psychology), sale of working holidays at the Desteni Ranch (Food Production and Management and Environmental Studies), and the sale of Techno-Tutor software (Educational Curriculum Software Development @ €2,490 a shot) and Journey to Life blogging and v-logging which is to promote Desteni on the Internet under the pretense of being about global 'equal Economic Remodelling' and 'Equal Rights'.

The Equal Life Foundation does not appear in any way to be a Non-Profit Organisation or Company. It seems to be in order to make money for and distribute income amongst 'Destonians', those persons who finance and support the core Desteni group, that is Bernard (Creation) Poolman, Sunette (Heaven) Spies and Esteni (Earth) De Wet.

If any Destonians can prove that Equal Life Foundation is in fact a Non-Profit-making company or organization and does NOT distribute income amongst its 'incorporators, members, directors, officers or persons related to any of them', they are welcome, and if so the above statements will be retracted and this post deleted.

A Message to Destonians

Universal Craziness Vessel

Desteni's message about equality is good but that does not mean Desteni itself (the group) is not a cult. It's possible to have good ideas and still be a cult.

Desteni members get so lost in the selling pitch of Desteni's message that they forget about democracy. Desteni is not a democracy. And, ironically, desteni members do not stand in equality within their own group. There are a few who dictate messages from above while others have to follow like lost sheep.

Have you seen videos by Desteni members, especially Sunette Spies?

Destonian Spams Reddit with Lies

The Destonians have taken to spamming Reddit, an online community for posting web content which can be reviewed or voted on...

http://www.reddit.com/r/journeytolife

At the Atheism sub-section of Reddit a discussion ensues in response to the posting of Day 15: Who am I? Prisoner of the Mind? by user, BernardPoolman under the heading, Are Atheists Prisoners of the Mind as Well?

The discussion is at: http://www.reddit.com/r/atheism/comments/sy4vb/are_atheists_prisoners_of_the_mind_as_well

After a link is posted to this blog Destonian cameronvcope writes

ironically the blog you linked was written by christians who were pissed about the fact that Desteni was calling out christians for preaching about jesus without actually living his message

It seems that cameronvcope is deliberately lying. The page that was linked to was not written by Christians or theists and this blog is not run by Christians or anyone belonging to any religious or spiritual group. We don't give a shit about what Desteni say about Jesus.

Just to make it clear: the editors of this blog have no religious beliefs whatsoever. The blog began simply as a response to the woo woo occultic sub-New Age crapola of Desteni.

The kind of ideas that inform Desteni are far more widespread and have more influence than just that one group, but Desteni serves as an extreme example.

Material from various different sources is published or linked at this blog and some of it may or may not be from theists, but anyone can see for themselves that nothing published here critiques Desteni on the basis of religious beliefs. Whether anyone is Christian or a theist of any kind or agnostic or atheist is of very little relevance to the fact that it is quite obvious that Desteni is an absurd cult and money-making scam.

Desteni Rape Fantasy

Ivan Rauscher

Destonians have a fantasy about rape. It is that rapists do what they do because of other people's sexual fantasies.

The only non-Desteni cause Destonians ever show support for on their YouTube channels is AntiPornography.org. It is said that in the Equal Money System as proposed by Desteni, pornography will be banned. This implies that to ensure no-one would ever produce sexual imagery, no citizen would be allowed to own a camera. It implies that erotic images could somehow be eradicated on the basis that they would be accepted as a form of criminality.

How they'd bring it about is never explained, but Equal Money System is itself a fantasy. It exists to financially exploit and mentally and emotionally abuse people by moulding them into robotic spammers for a highly manipulative yet nonsensical cult philosophy.

Destonian, Markus Modin, in his videos, Secret Rape and 2012 Secret Rape pt.2, commented in a smug and humourless way on sexual fantasy and rape, as if aged 22 he could have the experience and background to be an authority on these matters. This boy counts among his favourite books those by outright charlatans and major influences on the New Age scene, George Gurdjieff, Alice A. Bailey and Baird T. Spalding, all of whom are in turn key influences on Bernard Poolman, the main instigator of the Desteni scam.

Since the writing of this post, the first of these videos has been made private and the second has been removed by YouTube for violation of the YT policy against spam, scams and commercially deceptive content. In any case, they are worth discussing here.

In these videos, Modin repeated by rote information acquired from previous statements by Sunette Spies, Bernard Poolman and other Destonians. He succinctly summed up the Desteni party line on sexual fantasy, rape, masturbation and pornography. He was not talking about these subjects because he was genuinely interested in openly discussing or debating them with other YouTubers, but simply in order to try to promote the Equal Money System scam which is to recruit for the Desteni I Process Multi-Level Marketing scheme, as well as to impress other Destonians.

Destonians believe masturbation should only occur without sexual fantasy and that 'breath orgasm' should replace masturbation. 'Breath orgasm' is a variation of a common practice popular in New Age Tantric circles, most often known as energy orgasm. It is just one of countless ideas Bernard Poolman has stolen from New Age sources to manufacture the Desteni material.

Modin communicated the strange fantasy induced in him through immersion in the Desteni material that sexual fantasy is 'indirect abuse' that 'supports rape'. He claimed rapists are a 'manifestation' of 'what is existent within ourselves' but did not describe how a rapist can possibly be a 'manifestation' of thoughts of other people or how everyone exists with a rapist within them. He did not define his use of the term, 'manifestation'. Modin claimed that 'sex has nothing to do with the mind', as if the brain was not a part of the body.

According to Modin, masturbating whilst looking at pornographic images is 'virtual rape' and entails 'supporting the thought of having sex with someone without their permission'. Pornography, he said, should be banned because it is 'producing psychopaths'. Yet again he offered no reasons or evidence to support his claims. All he managed to convey by his self-expression was how the Desteni core group in South Africa can utilise illogical, emotive and confusing tactics to make an individual such as Modin comply with the artificial construction of a 'purified', seemingly morally superior cult identity, complete with suit and tie.

Destonians like Modin are provided with the excuse to take up a self-righteous attitude towards others. By adhering to the propaganda of Desteni they fantasise that they can be relieved of and suppress any seemingly overwhelming sexual feelings or desires and take up the heroic cause of stopping all the abuse in the world by becoming smarmy salespersons for the Equal Money System cult scam. It is also how Destonians are persuaded into engaging in sexual relations with each other and no-one else.

They are manipulated at a fundamental level of inter-personal subjectivity in relation to sex and the very thought of sex. Destonians are convinced that they feel the need to 'forgive' themselves for having sexual fantasies, masturbating or looking at pornography. If they are concerned about over-indulging in these things, they are re-assured that being a Destonian, preaching the Desteni way of life and selling Desteni-related products to others will help them. Their sexuality is being manipulated and controlled by an obscure, repressive sect and money-making scam founded on delusional misrepresentations of occult and New Age philosophies.

Equal Money System, political agenda of a cult

Ivan Rauscher

[note: Since July 2013, Desteni's Equal Money System has been superseded by Living Income Guaranteed.]

Desteni video descriptions state ‘The Equal Money system will be a first step in the political agenda of the Equal Life Party worldwide once we start participating in democratic elections.’

There is no Equal Life Party. Apparently to get the ‘equal money system’ (EMS) started, unpaid volunteers make promotional webpages, but avoid publicising EMS any further afield. Except for Facebook and YouTube, they refuse to spread their message via the mainstream or alternative media, and they do not hold public meetings.

Donations are solicited on the Desteni website to help them ‘get into politics and government
, yet they denounce charity as evil. They are opposed to capitalism but run a Multi-Level-Marketing scheme. They call EMS radical freedom but say freedom of expression leads to abuse. EMS is envisaged as coming into being after the Basic Income Grant (BIG) campaign has been proven successful world-wide, yet Desteni are not involved in the BIG campaign. They say they want to get into government by democratic means because they don't trust humanity.

Blogs and videos using the EMS slogan reiterate the well-known idea that inequality, crime, poverty and starvation are often related to the divide between rich and poor. They depict an imaginary society where equality is re-defined by Desteni. The global administration of the EMS is said to be able to provide a life-long guaranteed income for each citizen. It is supposed to micro-chip and monitor humans against abuse, negate all forms of trade and the need for individuals to have to work for more than four years.

It is said
EMS will be the result of at least 50% of citizens voting for ‘Equal Life Party in global democratic elections that will miraculously take place after the collapse of capitalism. How supporters of EMS, called the Destonians know this is not explained, but it is in keeping with a view they have of themselves as possessing all-knowing power and knowledge, as displayed on their Equalitee t-shirts where they name themselves after super-hero comic book characters, the Guardians of the Universe.

To the Destonians, the rest of the population are all poor unfortunate brainwashed victims of consumer capitalism and need to be told what is ‘best for all’. They depict non-Destonians as afraid of equality and ‘protecting the current system of abuse’. The Destonians have no conception of political or social ideas beyond the EMS but want to dictate how the whole world should be policed as one all-encompassing authoritarian system. As bizarre as it seems, they describe global implementation of their EMS as not only the inevitable future of the world, but run by the people for the people in strict accordance with information published by the Desteni group of South Africa.

No independent source has ever cited
EMS as a worthwhile political idea. The reputation it has is that it is a scam. Almost everyone who's heard of it can see it's a scam, except for some reason the Destonians. But that's the way of cults. Desteni is widely regarded as a potentially destructive cult with anti-democratic policies, a ridiculous, nonsensical philosophy and a very amateur mode of presentation.

Their Faceworldfaceoff campaign, said to ‘actually have an Effect in the World that will have an Economic Effect on the Corpus of the Economic Structure of the World
and with the purpose of convincing at least 100 million people to shave their heads ‘for equality’ has fizzled out. And despite having released several 1000s of videos and reams of written material since 2007, Desteni still has no more than around 100 active participants world-wide.

The group is described as exploring principles of equality and oneness but is blatantly sectarian. EMS is against free choice, privacy, freedom of speech and information, and opposed to trade and commerce. EMS would be a one-party rule, which would mean no democracy. It is as though the Destonians are nationalists defending the purity of the virtual totalitarian nation-state of Destonia.

They say critics of
EMS have not ‘done the research’, even when it is clear they have researched EMS and Desteni, and even if they state they do not support capitalism. The Destonians claim if someone disagrees with EMS then it is because EMS is a ‘threat to the current system’. There is no evidence of EMS having threatened anyone's financial or personal security, or any corporate consumer interests whatsoever.

Despite the fact that equality as a principle is meant to be applied without pre-conditions as a basic democratic human right, the Destonians say the only way anyone can prove themselves worthy of equality is by utilising ‘the tools’ of Desteni-branded media. Yet the principle of equality is an established part of developing ongoing social, legal and political situations and everyone is supposed to be worthy of it regardless. That is the whole idea of equality.

But the Destonians regard all human beings as evil and possessed by ‘mind demons’.
In discussing what would be the outcome if you do not support EMS, they suggest that to avoid having to go through the hassle of an intervention by psychology professionals to have you rehabilitated for not co-operating with EMS in the future, then for your own sake you should investigate EMS now. When the Destonians recommend people ‘investigate EMS’ what they mean is: read the material, watch the videos and join Desteni.

The actual premise for EMS in the first place is Bernard Poolman's stories about how he encountered demons, famous dead people and other entities in dimensions of ‘mind consciousness systems’ designed by a race of beings called the Annunaki that also happened to have designed human beings. With the help of Poolman's chosen Portal, heaven was purified, so it is now time to bring the purified heaven to earth with EMS and make everyone a millionaire.

The stated aim of all Desteni-oriented activities is to dedicate one's life to deleting ‘the mind’ through ‘self-forgiveness’. That is what they say will bring about world equality and the ‘heaven on earth’ of EMS. The implementation of the political agenda of the Desteni group ‘as it currently exist’ involves selling holidays and the online promotion and sale of products inspired by Bernard Poolman’s demented fantasies.
